Under the watchful eye of her ladyship, the LEADER, we marched 9 km into the unknown.  It was even unknown to our leader, for at one spot, the whole track had disappeared!  Undeterred, she insisted that we walk on the track, even though the obvious route was along the beautiful beach.  A few brave participants rebelled and marched away, with the ebbing tide flowing by at the speed of galloping horses.  We were approaching Point Smythe, and had an amazing view of Inverloch across the calm inlet.  The clouds were pretty, and someone found a tiny perfect bird's nest.  The bush was lush and green, but we saw no wildlife - possibly because of the loud sounds of everyone having a great old chat!

lunch #1 was enjoyed at the beach, and lunch #2 at Tarwin Lower, to finish off a terrific day.  Thanks, Robyn, for your organisation and inimitable leadership style.

I know there is supposed to be this wonderful Tuesday window of fine weather, well last Tuesday for our walk at Rhyll it was not looking great.

A gentle paddle on the quiet waters of the Thomson River.
