A small band of diehards (ie.crazy people) gathered at the old Foster Railway Station site adjacent to the rail trail in Foster at 9.0amm for a walk despite the dire rain forecast.

Wilsons Promontory boasts the best views of mountains and sea that South Gippsland has to offer. It is a magical place.

Sunday 2nd June Mt Nicol Rail Trail Walk

Gathering at Fish Creek on Sunday morning, 7 hearty souls started the notorious walk along the rail trail to the Hoddle trail before walking up that hill. Great views across to the prom, back to the Tarwin Wind farms and across the nearby farmland make the effort put into getting to the top all worth while.
After a lunch break enjoyed at the top, we made our way through the bushland to the lookout, then walked our way down the road to the rail trail. From there an easy stroll back into Fish Creek.
Congratulations to the "novices" who had never undertaken this 17kms walk before.
Great company and pleasant walking conditions made for an enjoyable day. Thank you to Roz for leading this walk.

Participants:  Robyn & Dale Scott, Ken Moulton, Maree Mills, David Vaughan, Judy O'Connell, Roz Spratt
