Insurance Arrangements

SGWAAC participates in the National Insurance Scheme through Bushwalking Victoria and Bushwalking Australia which provides insurance cover for affiliated clubs and their members - see here

Insurance Claims & Enquiries

Insurance Broker

Bushwalking Australia appointed Jardine Lloyd Thompson Sport, a specialist division of Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group (JLT) as the insurance broker to manage the insurance arrangements (referred to as risk protection program by JLT) for member organisations i.e. affiliated clubs and state peak bodies, for a period of five years commencing 1 July 2016. JLT assumed responsibility from that date for all Bushwalking Australia insurance matters, including enquires and claims, both new and existing. The appointment of JLT did not change our underwriters/insurers.

Claims

For Personal Accident Claims and Enquiries:

Accident and Health International (AHI) is the Underwriter for the Bushwalking Australia Personal Accident policy. Inquiries concerning this policy should be directed to AHI on 02 9251 8700 quoting Policy Number 0012117.

Claims should be submitted as soon as possible following an incident, by completing the Personal Injury Claim Form and submitting it to the insurer, Accident and Health International (details are on the claim form). For Public Liability and Association Liability Claims and Inquiries:

Service Levels

Under the arrangements entered into with JLT, the following service levels apply. Should any Bushwalking Australia member have any complaints concerning the service provided, please contact Bushwalking Australia using the email address below.

  • All enquiries acknowledged within 1 business day
  • 80% of enquiries answered within 3 business days
  • 100% of enquiries answered within 10 business days
