The walk followed the Old Noojee Road reaching the Neerim North Noojee Road. We walked along this with bush & farm scenery then dropping down through bush to link onto the Noojee Trestle Bridge Rail Trail. We walked to and over the trestle stopping for a windy and chilly lunch near the replica of the original Noojee railway station, with its 1950s J class locomotive.
After a quick lunch a diversion to look at the railway station local history museum and then we walked back up the Old Noojee Road taking a track to the left that went above the Noojee Township to a point where we turned back to finish our walk going onto the Little Red Duck for a coffee.
Walkers from SBWC were Briany Noonan, Kathy Lloyd, Bert Nakken, Carmel Mooney and from SGWAAC - Tanya Kirby, Maria Giardina, Julie James
Thanks to all for your good company and good conversation.
