Some of us met at Fish Creek to organise a car shuffle to Five Mile Creek at Wilsons Prom to commence our walk to Vereker Lookout and Millers Landing.

The path up to the lookout is well defined and, in my view spectacular. You are surrounded by many banksia trees, grass trees and wattles. There is some evidence of bushfires in years gone by, but the recovery has been good - thanks to some decent rain.

The weather was kind, which created a moody and still atmosphere. The water was like a mirror.

We had morning tea on Vereker Lookout and lunch at Millers Landing on the rocks. We had to negotiate a bit of mud, but that was the adventure - don't fall in.

It was a very relaxing, chatty and beautiful walk. Unfortunately, we could not finish the day at a cafe in Fish Creek - at 3.00pm they were all closed.......

We met for a caffeine fix at the Woori Yallock bakery on Monday morning. The plan was for a ride, or a walk on the Warburton to Lilydale Rail Trail, about half the group wanted to ride and half to walk.

Base camp on the Majors Creek Reserve, paddling the Goulburn River to explore two wineries.
