An easy ride on mostly flat roads from Glengary Railway Park to Cowwarr Weir, starting at 10.00am Saturday 16th September.

Our small group of five met in the Railway Park in Glengarry around 9am for the almost obligatory pre- ride catch up ,cycle prep and a caffeine fix. It was a beautiful warm sunny day and we saw quite a few other cyclists there as the rail trail goes through the park.

Ably led by ride leader Pat Williams we headed off at 10am along quiet one lane back roads ,past lush farmland and flat roads. After a long straight run we came to Toongabbie where we crossed the Maffra Rd and stopped for a drink and regroup. Heading out of town on the Toongabbie Cowwarr Rd we continued on to Weir Rd and Cowwarr Weir itself .

If you haven't visited this lovely spot before you have missed out on a hidden gem. After a short break and few happy snaps we returned to Glengarry the way we came with a small short cut at the end as the wind was getting up . Everyone enjoyed the ride ! Thank you Pat.

Participants: Pat Williams, Roz Spratt, Mary-Anne Taylor, Joe Jans, Graham Clements
