On both days most the hikers who had subscribed to the George Bass Trail were from the Ben Cruachan and Strzelecki Bushwalking Clubs. The Ben Cruachan hikers do not often get the opportunity to hike this trail as they are mainly from East Gippsland, for some of them it was a first...

We departed the checkpoint on time, and for me as the leader, the car shuffle is a challenge, but we got there. Lots of logistics involved - haha!!

The George Bass Trail never disappoints. It has everything, undulations, stretches along the beach, beautiful waves, cliffs and views. The weather was on our side on both days - not too hot with some sunshine to enhance the beautiful ocean.

A few shenanigans were had on the trail - I introduced striptease music whenever a jacket came off - on Sunday we laughed and danced!!

On both days we enjoyed a lovely lunch at the Kilcunda store - the toasties are delicious and the coffee is very Melbournesque.

Thanks to the SGWAAC for hosting such a great event and giving me the opportunity to walk this trail twice on a weekend - phew!!
