It would have been an embarrassing morning for me if I had not rung Wilson's Prom on Sunday to enquire about the Derby Saddle to Tongue Point Track. I was reassured that the track was OK, however, that the Prom was closed for annual maintenance for the week of the 15 - 19 August. Wow, where shall we walk? My mind was focused on beach and ocean views. The good old favourite George Bass Trail came to mind - why not - and not a far drive - Winning! After a quick email to participants, and the change of venue was initiated.
Eight members braved the weather and came for a lovely hike - I do have a relationship with the weather gods - no rain, just a few sprinkles.... it was great. We finished the outing by having a fabulous lunch and lots of conversation at the Kilcunda General Store. Thanks everyone for your good company.
