‘I’ve lost my keys’, came the cry from Michelle. What at first appeared to be a simple case of misplaced keys, soon turned into a full scale search of bags, apparel, car and surrounds but the keys were nowhere to be found.....and then they were…. but where, I hear you ask?
Apparently they were stashed in the safest of hiding spots close to one’s heart.
Val, our trusty leader now marshalled our group of 10 and headed off down the beach before heading up, along the Highway where we crossed near the Granville cemetery.
Winding our way through sandy tracks, we passed spring flowers in bloom and worked our way to the top of the Hill where we enjoyed spectacular views over ‘The Gurdies Nature Conservation Park’ to French Island, Western Port bay and beyond.
On the way back we happened across the aptly named ‘Bills Gate’ and enjoyed some moments of mirth, mostly at Bill Ryan’s expense.

After 12km’s we arrived back at the car park, better for the experience and bid our farewells.
