This was our first walk post Covid-19 lockdown. While we felt liberated to be out and about again, there were new rules to be observed.
Social distancing was the order of the day. We were mindful of the risks of the virus spreading throughout the community and had this unnerving sense of being monitored which was not helped by the sinister looking wind turbines which seemed to follow our every move.
We followed the well-marked trails in a clockwise direction around the Desalination Plant and left the heathland to take coffee at the mouth of the Powlet River.
We then made our way back to the Desalination Plant tracks and circled back to the car park. A leisurely 10 km walk was enjoyed by all, during which we encountered a large mob of roos and enjoyed the well maintained paths and heathland surrounding the Desalination Plant.
