An Old Lady of the road, her once gleaming dark blue duco now dull and tarnished by years of weather, not quite as quick off the mark as once she had been, starting to wear out from carrying ungrateful passengers to all points of the compass mostly over second class unmade roads where the dust and mud had crept into every nook and cranny. She was now covered in layers of dust due to a time poor a driver, and an ungrateful occupant, acknowledging the neglect had declared to one and all "Wash Me Mum" on the back window.

The Old Lady looked longingly at the shiny, clean, glowing yellow XR6 driving machine, lovingly being washed by its driver – if only I could look like that too.

With an afternoon paddle no longer on the cards, her driver took pity on the Old Lady of the road and decided a wash was definitely in order. The driver approached the owner of the XR6 for a sponge to wash the Old Lady. “Would you like some Truck Wash too” he asked. “Your vehicle will look just like mine”

With scepticism and doubt in their mind, the driver accepted the bottle of Truck Wash and proceeded to bathe the Old Lady of the road. First a gentle spray to wash off the loose dust, then high pressure water on the chassis and down the side of the drivers door to wash away what appeared to be many years of accumulated chunks of dust (locally known as mud). Finally out came the magical Truck Wash to transform the Old Lady. The driver soaped, scrubbed, rinsed and repeated the exercise at least twice. No matter how hard they tried, nothing happened.

Finally, the driver gave up, returning the sponge and remaining Truck Wash to the owner of the shiny, clean, glowing yellow XR6 driving machine.

“It is no use, I give up. You said if I used Truck Wash, my old lady would look just like your vehicle. I have washed and scrubbed, and no matter what I do she remains a dark blue Pajero, and not just like yours - a Yellow XR6 Ford Ute".

Thank you to the English language where words can have so many meanings and let us laugh, and to the owner of the XR6 Ute - my Old Lady of the road is gleaming on the outside, needs a little more TLC on the inside and I can thoroughly recommend Truck Wash to all.
