Following his 2026 Australian/New Zealand tour, Dr Beau Miles - educator, author, outdoorsman and celebrated Australian YouTuber - will join us as guest speaker at the SGWAAC AGM.

Beau is known for turning ordinary places and big outdoor challenges into thoughtful, funny and inspiring stories. A former Lecturer in Outdoor Education at Monash University, he completed his PhD in Outdoor Education and launched his YouTube channel through his project Bass by Kayak. His first book, The Backyard Adventurer, was released in 2021.

From kayaking expeditions and running 650 kilometres across the Australian Alps to exploring the old Warragul–Noojee Railway line, walking 90 kilometres to work, and paddling to work over four days, Beau brings adventure, humour and curiosity to every story.

The SGWAAC Annual General Meeting will be held as part of this event
