Heading inland from the Car Park, perfect flat water allowed river reflections of the mountains beyond, truly stunning.

Shane navigated into the maze of tall reeds, until a mud bank stopped us, we could go no further, reverse and retreat, was the order.
Paddling back past our start point to the mouth of the River, the right hand side rises into a very steep sand face, with numerous animal tracks coming down to drink fresh water. Rick established they were deer tracks and a wombat.
We returned to the cars, still dry, to enjoy a picnic lunch together, we welcomed Nola and Rick as this is their first activity with our club, hopefully many more times together.
Thanks to all for a great morning paddle together.
Participants - Patrick P, Shane B, Roz S (leader) , Nola & Rick H.

PS. Tidal River planned paddle was abandoned, because of bridge construction work - site is closed.
