Our walk at Dyrings Rd was a very pretty trail to start and finish the walk. The track was still in good condition. Thereafter, walking through bush land of quite varying types with some wildflower starting to come out on either side of the highway. We continued on climbing up Mt. New Zealand then down again - track a bit up and down, but nothing too hard. The track was gravelly with some sections of clay.
It was great to see and to welcome Ken back walking after his recent hospitilisation. We finished with a nice lunch at one of the cafes in Foster. The rain held off until just before returning to our vehicles - only a brief shower. We were very lucky as the weather forecast had not looked good! All in all, a great day out enjoyed by all.
Thanks to Michelle, P.S. first time leader who endeared herself by bringing along home made biscuits. Yum!
