Nine of us met nice and early at the Mortimer Picnic Ground in Gembrook for a medium, undulating walk to Four Brothers Rocks. At this time of day it was still nice and cool and most of the walk was in the shade. Well, but we did not expect the humidity and we all sweated a lot and detoxed.
Although I had reccied the walk to be a certain route, we were up for an adventure - one intrepid hiker recommended a different track, and I may add, I did not have to accept, but to avoid a very steep hill it was tempting to say yes - Why not! We took a vote and decided to head up a track with less steepness - bad idea - it was relentless and much longer and HOT. But..... we made it and enjoyed a lovely lunch with great views at Four Brothers Rocks.

The return trip was a lovely up and down meander through temperate rainforest. We arrived back at the cars at about 3.00pm just in time to head to the Spicers Store in Gembrook for iced coffees and refreshing teas.
We all enjoyed a lot of great humour, good conversations and wonderful friendship. Total distance: 15.1kms.
Participants: Ian and Sue, Les, Michelle P, Val, Tim, Graham T, Patsy & John
