After a brief outline of the days proceedings the group set off at 9am for a casual walk to Loch . We enjoyed wonderful scenery of magnificent trees , farms and the rugged hills and gulleys of South Gippsland . The trail ran mostly parallel to Allsops Creek which crosses under from right to left and then cascades over a small set of falls about 2 km from Loch , where there is a viewing platform .
Once we arrived in Loch we all retreated to Olive's Cafe in the main street for a very enjoyable coffee and a naughty treat , Suitably refreshed we set off on the return trip .
Everyone seemed to be busy chatting and enjoying the beautiful scenery and the lovely weather and we soon returned to the starting point. I think everyone had a great walk and quite a few returned by car to Olive's for lunch .
