We met at the Alberton Hotel to begin our walk along the walking trail to Yarram. An overcast morning sky with a few raindrops greeted us upon our arrival. After a quick cuppa from the back of Robyn's car and some carpool shuffling we were ready to start.

The first mural is located on the wall of the Alberton Hotel - we used this one to "fine tune" our phones to enable us to use the QR codes to obtain information on all the murals we would see. Off we headed along the trail passing through farmland that had plenty of mowed grass for the harvest season.

Approx 6kms later we arrived at the Ship Inn Motel where the large murals along the wall became the idea for the town mural concept. The owner Paul, met us and gave a brief description of the thinking behind the town mural idea and the works undertaken by the artist Heesco, and a proud description of the vibrant mural in his motel yard. Lunch was enjoyed at a cafe in town before we continued on our mural discovery walk. After a brief stopover at the local art gallery, and a chat to a well informed local who shared with us her perspective on the murals and the subject matters, we found our way back to the carpark in town. Along the way we saw many other "tourists" doing the same as us, which suggests the idea has been good for the town and tourism.

A very enjoyable day and a great chance to walk around somewhere we don't go to often, Thanks to everyone who came along and made the day so much fun.
