A day paddle around Little Snake Island from Port Welshpool.  Please note earlier start time as this paddle needs to be commenced prior to high tide as there is no or limited water in the Swashway at the back of the island at low tide.

Paddling out along the Long Jetty we will proceed in an anticlockwise direction around the island, through the Swashway and stop to explore at Snake Island Jetty before proceeding home.

WHERE:  Foreshore next to Long Jetty at Port Welshpool

WHAT TO BRING: 

All participants must wear shoes whilst paddling, comfortable clothing with due regard for the forecast weather. Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent, light spray jacket that can go over your life jacket are recommended. BYO snacks/lunch on the day and at least 600ml of drinking water. A small basic first aid kit is a recommended piece of paddle equipment.

CLUB BOATS:  Cost for use of club boat if required and all equipment is $25.00. Please phone 0400744920 to discuss equipment requirements and reserve a boat. Payment for use of boat is via EFT to the club account on the day of the activity, use Kayak Hire and your surname as the referenceClub boats and equipment available - bookings essential -  phone 0400744920.  

For safety reasons participation in this event is at the discretion of the paddle leader(s).
