Overnight Hiking is both a very achievable and most rewarding activity. With the correct gear, some training, a sense of adventure and good company many, many opprotunites will beckon you.

Recent hikes have featured the Great Ocean Raod Walk, the challenging South Coast Track in Tasmaina, Sealers Cove, Mt Baw Baw and Ben Boyd NP

Breaking out after lockdown the "Larapinta hopefulls" are heading out to check their equipment and pack weight fittness exercise on an overnight camp. Meeting at the 5 Mile Road car park for the 10.5 km walk in to Lower Barry Creek camp ground.

Southern Loop Walk - Wilsons Prom

This will be a modified Southern Loop Walk.  The walk will commence at Telegraph Saddle to walk to Waterloo on Day 1. Then a coastal route south towards the Lighthouse to end at Roaring Meg on day 2. Day 3 the walk out along Telegraph Road track to return to the Saddle.

This walk is being organised as trainging for the Larapinta Trail, others are welcome to join the group. The overnight hike involves lightweight camping at Little Waterloo Bay and Roaring Meg campsites.

If you have not been overnight camping with the club previously or attended one of the introduction to overnight hiking events please contact the Leader to discuss the required equipment.
