Day Walks are normally held over weekends and are typically longer and more challenging than the Tuesday Walk program.
The destinations are generally located within 1 - 1.5 hours drive and tend to be graded 'easy/medium' for reasonably fit and more experienced walkers who are able to complete a a distance of 15k+ km's.
The walk starts at Darby Saddle and heads downhill on well formed track towards Tongue Point, great views along the way of Norman Island and Bass Strait. On the second leg of the walk to Darby River there are great views towards Cotters and Darby Beaches and Waratah Bay, if the tide is low there is the opportunity to take the steep track with alot of steps down to Fairy Cove. The track to Darby River is an undulating single file with great views of Darby Swamp and Vereker Range.
