Base Camps always prove to be very popular and well attended. Destinations can range from the likes of Mt Hotham, the Grampians, SA vineyards, Queensland and New Zealand; anywhere really
The camps inevitably incorpoarate a program of walking, cycling, exploring and social activities. Our Base Camps are sources of great merriment and camaraderie - many a reputation has been made on these outings.
Marlo & Brodribb River combined Base Camp
Ride, Hike & Paddle
Marlo and Brodribb River is the perfect location for the above activities.
Cycling:
- Short town meander incl Snowy River Coastal Trail, Marlo State Forest Trails
- Road cycle to Cape Conran
- East Gippsland Rail Trail starting in Orbost
- Lochend Road, Lake Road, Corringle Road circuit starting in Orbost
Paddling:
- Brodribb River and Cabbage Tree Creek
- Snowy River Estuary /Corringal Lake/Corringal Slips
- Shetland Island Rowing Experience - Sunday 10am
- Yeerung River
Hiking:
- Marlo State Forest Loop - 5.8kms
- Snowy River Estuary Walk - 10.1kms
- Hekarwe Track - 16.9kms

Save the Date - Federation Walks 2022 - 1 - 2 October - Wangaratta/Warby Ranges

Grampians combined Base Camp

Gariwerd, the perfect place for hikes, paddling and cycling.
Accommodation will be at the Halls Gape Lakeside Tourist Park
Cycling:
- Lake Bellfield circuit - 20kms
- Grampians Rail Trail from Mt Dryden Rd to Stawell West (11kms each way)
- Sight seeing ride through and around Halls Gap
Hikes:

Please note: Patsy and John are arranging to through-hike the Grampians Peak Trail at the same time - commencing from Mt Zero to Halls Gap (4 days), the car shuffling the Central Part and the Southern Part - a separate Event will be posted. Anyone can join them for a day hike....
