Tarwin Lower to Venus Bay 9/25

WALK 1 OF 2 TUESDAY WALKS

Graham Clements will meet the group at the boat ramp in Tarwin Lower at 9am. This is an easy mostly flat walk along a shared pathway beside the Tarwin River to Venus Bay and return. The walk passes through Venus Bay shopping area to the car park overlooking the beach. We then turn back to the Bay Gourmet Cafe in Venus Bay for our morning tea. Return the way we came for a total distance of 10km.

There are oppurtunities for a shorter walk either park at the fishing platform about a third the way toward Venus Bay on the right or park off the road at the start of Lees Rd just over halfway. Please advise the walk leader where you will be starting.

Please wear appropiate clothing for the conditions,carry water and wear sun protection. Poles optional (mostly gravel pathways).

There are toilets at the start and in Venus Bay. 

If there is enough interest lunch can be booked at the Tarwin Lower pub.
