Today's walk incorporates two walks. Firstly, a short walk to Swan Lake and secondly, Pyramid Rock Lookout to Berrys Beach. Total walking distance is approx. 8.5km.

Meet Judy at the Swan Bay Car Park ready to start at 8.30am. How to get there: Drive towards Cowes on the Phillip Island Rd. Turn left at the big round about onto Back Beach Rd (C478). Continue along C478 until you reach a T intersection (9.8kms from the above round about). Turn left at the T intersection onto Ventnor Rd (C473) traveling a further 0.8km. Finally, turn left into Swan Lake Path parking area. Total distance from above mentioned round about 10.7km. This location is just before the Penguin Parade entrance.

Swan Lake is a freshwater lake bordering the walking track. The lake provides great bird watching. This section of walk is about 1.3km.

Car pooling is to be arranged from Swan Lake to Pyramid Rock lookout car park. The Car Park is is at the end of the road. On arriving at Pyramid Rock, check out the striking silhouette of the Rock set against the waters of Bass Strait. The walk will continue along the coast to Berrys Beach then returning to Pyramid rock to the car park. 

Lunch at the Anchorage general store is suggested. This is at 380 Ventnor Rd, Ventnor.

Bring plenty of water and snacks, sunscreen, hat, insect repellant and appropriate walking attire. Walking poles should be considered.
