This is a two part walk comprising two shorter walks. Meet in the laneway behind the Fish Creek servo at 9am. We will car pool to Yanakie Hall and then from there to the beginning of the first walk at Hourigan Camp Lane just off Miller Rd Yanakie for the first leg.

Leg 1: From Hourigan Camp Lane parking area a short walk through coastal scrub to view the eastern side of Shallow Inlet.

Leg 2: Drive to Stockyard Campground adjacent to the Prom gateway entrance. The Big Drift is a relatively short walk of around 4.5km return.

The Big Drift is a vast expanse of inland sand dunes that are constantly changing shape, providing an excellent oppurtunity for photography of the spectacular scenery. The cl;imb to the top is steep so poles are recommended.

Bring plenty of water, snacks ,wear appropiate clothing for the weather conditions and wear sun sun protection. There are toilets in Fish Creek and at the Yanakie Hall. The toilets at the Campground carpark are out of service. For those who wish bring  your own lunch, there is a nice shelter near the Campground carpark .
