CANCELLED Mahers Landing to Pt Smythe - paddling
CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER - Rain, Wind SSW 18-19km gusting to 37km
This paddle is not suitable for inexperienced paddlers.
Departing from the Boat Ramp at Mahers Landing, (Treadwells Road Inverloch) we will paddle to Point Smythe with the falling tide, low tide due around 12 midday. An opportunity to explore Point Smythe before returning to Mahers Landing hopefully with a lull tide. BYO food for lunch
WHEN: Saturday 29th November
WHERE: Meet at Mahers Landing by 9:30am to be ready for on water at 10:00 am
What to bring - All paddling equipment including completed PECMI form, basic first aid kit, sunscreen, hat and food/drink (morning tea/lunch)
NOTES:
All participants must wear shoes whilst paddling, comfortable clothing with due regard for the forecast weather. Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, insect repellent, light spray jacket that can go over your life jacket are recommended. BYO snacks/lunch on the day and at least 600ml of drinking water. A small basic first aid kit is a recommended piece of paddle equipment.
