Albert River - Paddling
Albert River Paddle 17th January 2025
An easy paddle exploring the Albert River under the guidance of our experienced Paddle Leader Roz.
Meet at the car park on the left hand side of the South Gippsland Highway, just before the Albert River Bridge at 8:30am sharp for a 9am start on the water.
Launching at the boat ramp off the Albert River Bridge Car Park we travel down stream past the Alberton Cemetery, one of the oldest in Victoria, and is a rare example of a cemetery sited on the banks of a river.
Paddlers will be stopping at Dawsons Road for morning tea/food before returning to start.
What to Bring - All paddling equipment, first aid kit, PECMI form, at least 600ml drinking water, food and Insect Repellent as the mozzies can be bad. Shoes, sun hat, sunscreen essential.
