An Evening with Beau Miles - SGWAAC 2026 AGM
Friday 20 November 2026 · Inlet Hotel, Inverloch commencing at 6:00pm for Dinner.
Following his 2026 Australian/New Zealand tour, Dr Beau Miles - educator, author, outdoorsman and celebrated Australian YouTuber - will join us as guest speaker for the SGWAAC AGM.
Beau is known for turning ordinary places and big outdoor challenges into thoughtful, funny and inspiring stories. A former Lecturer in Outdoor Education at Monash University, he completed his PhD in Outdoor Education and launched his YouTube channel through his project Bass by Kayak. His first book, The Backyard Adventurer, was released in 2021.
From kayaking expeditions and running 650 kilometres across the Australian Alps to exploring the old Warragul–Noojee Railway line, walking 90 kilometres to work, and paddling to work over four days, Beau brings adventure, humour and curiosity to every story.
Join us for what will be an entertaining and enjoyable evening with a small amount of time dedicated to the 2026 AGM.
